Hello from Maitland!

Here I am at Loz's place, typing away on Luke's tiny little laptop, its so cool!!

I've had an awesome time, today I met the gorgeous PJ and tonight I FINALLY met Scrapwitch! Woo Hoo! She was exactly as I imagine...amazing, bubbly, full of energy and LOUD! Hee hee. And I met Georgie, who is absolutely awe-inspiring...my god...

I'm up to LO #9 so far for my stay, four yesterday and five tonight, its after midnight on Wednesday and I'm going home tomorrow, I think I could still have one LO in me tonight...

I'm missing my little family like CRAZY and can't wait to see them tomorrow. Have spoken to them only about a thousand times and heard many MISS YOUS and LOVE YOUS from my babies. So cute.

Will have lots to show when I got home, hope everyone is having as awesome a week as I am. Off to pay a visit to Shop & Crop tomorrow before I head home, can't wait to visit the shop my friend Janine DT's for. I won't spend too much, I promise...LOL

Cheers,
Sar

Looks like a weekend of scrapping for me....

I was planning on heading over to Scrapbooking Delights tonight to join Sandra for some scrapping...but have decided against it because:

1. Bronte is a bit fluey and not herself, so if she doesn't sleep tonight its not real fair on Daniel who has to get up for work at 4.45am.
2. I'm going out tomorrow night with my girlfriends for dinner and a few 'quiet' drinks.
3. I'm heading up to Maitland for two nights next week to spend some time with my gorgeous scrapping buddy Loz.

So I didn't want to push my luck by going out tonight as well!

There is a cybercrop over at Scrapbook Divas this weekend though, so I can spend tonight chatting with the girls and get some of my massive October to-do-list done, its really not looking good with it now being the 24th of the month, where has the time gone?

Tomorrow Daniel is taking the car to work so I'm going to scrap as much as I can as I'll be stranded at home, and then out tomorrow night. Sunday I have no plans as yet and haven't had any hands up for a scrap day...so who knows what I'll do!? Maybe I'll be too hungover to do anything but struggle through the day with the kids... ;)

Here is a layout I did a couple of nights ago for this month's Black Magic sketch. I didn't realise there was a colour palette to use though, oops!

Check out this Buzz & Bloom goodness I received in the mail this week for my win over at 123 Challenge. Cool huh?

We now have a cubby! Everyone is very excited. It still has to be lacquered, but it looks great. Here's a few pics:

Before

The kids waiting and watching the men work out the window

After!

And a very happy boy on his scramble net

My house is about to go crazy, its THAT time of the afternoon. See you all soon.

Lazy night...

A lazy night for me, Daniel has just gone to get pizzas for dinner. Oh well, gotta do it sometimes, and cheap night is always a bonus, LOL!

Did I tell you I've booked my first ever scrap retreat? Sooo excited...me, Alicia, Kel & Loz are going to the Bon's Retreat in Melbourne next August. A bit of time away, but good for saving up beforehand. We'll be staying a couple of extra nights to do some shopping. I can't wait! It will be awesome to meet all my 'cyber friends' too, put faces to the names and all that.

Here is a LO I did last night, one for the October Sketch at Bon's. Using some of my Cosmo Cricket PP, a very boy page, my funny boy eating his fave dinner of tacos.

A very exciting day for us tomorrow, our cubby house is being delivered and built...I think Daniel is more excited than the kids, LOL! We decided after him putting it off for what seems like forever, we're better off just paying someone to build the damn thing...between working his normal shift, working OT and the firies, he's just got no time left. This is what its gonna look like, except ours is up on stilts and will have a sandpit underneath.

Better go, sounds like dinners here and I don't want to get in trouble for being on the computer AGAIN now, do I!!??

Cheers,
Sar

Why?

A young man by the name of Scott Darley was killed at Parramatta City Raceway on Saturday night, driving a sprint car, doing what he loved. 28 years old, just bought a house, about to get married. Sometimes you just have to wonder, why does this happen? My Dad has raced speedway his whole life, and still races at the age of 62. He raced Litre Sprint Cars with Scott for about six years before Scott moved up to race V8 Sprint Cars, where he was very successful and one of Australia's finest speedway drivers. My heart goes out to his fiance, and especially to his parents who were sitting on the sideline watching as they did every time Scott raced. My Dad is devastated, I was heartbroken as he cried while on the phone to me yesterday talking about this. My thoughts are with his family at this devastating time.

Scrapwise, this weekend was a bit quiet. I had a Stampin Up party on Friday night with the lovely Ness and had a great time. Made a lovely card and had a houseful, even got some spending money with the sales so that was a bonus. Can't wait to get my goodies and neither can the other girls.

I only ended up doing two pages this weekend, one I can't show yet but one I can. This one was an online class by Charmane Koch on Bon's Scraps, I started it on Thursday night but didn't actually finish it till yesterday, Sunday morning. The instructions are still up if you want to have a go. Lots of little details, a TON of stitching...but all worth it in the end. I added a few different things, the ribbon is stapled and I used a few different things on the butterflies which I'm really pleased with.

Better go, on the phone to my scrapping buddy Loz, can't wait to go visit her next week!! Love ya babe!

Cheers,
Sar

Online Class with Diva Mel

So last night was Diva Mel's online class at Scrapbook Divas. We did two layouts in two hours, very BOY layouts with the kit we bought from the Scrapbook Divas shop. I got the LO's done in the time and couldn't believe it...although I could've easily let myself be distracted with all the chatting! LOL

Today I did the bonus third LO that we had instructions for, couldn't believe I got three layouts and the class for only $25, what a bargain.

Here is what I ended up with, all of Cooper of course.

This one was Cooper's favourite, it is of him with his two little buddies from school Jonty & Clay. Coop told me what to write and then he wrote their names in the last tab. So cute!

Scrapped today with my friend Linda, only got LO #3 done as it was a hectic day. Crazy kids, and my girlfriends from the fire station came over for a visit & coffee as well which was lovely. I definitely had a houseful! The kids had a ball though, as did I.

Best go, bubby has just gotten up for her late night feed, then I think it'll be bed time for all of us.

Bye,
Sar

Kaisercraft Website

Go check out the Kaisercraft website...not sure exactly how, who or why...but somehow my project which is on the Scrap N Craft With T blog is advertised on the Kaiser site! Have a look at the bottom left of the main page where it says 'Kaisercraft in the blogsphere'...and there's my name! Linked to my project. Pretty excited here, can you tell?

Lots Happening!

So my Guest DT stint over at Scrap N Craft With T has finally started! I'm very excited, go have a look...my projects are on the front page for the shop. This is what I did for Tan.

I have also done a Skull Album with some pics of Cooper as a pirate, using the Prima Dude papers. Had SO much fun doing this, and the end result was unreal. Here's a couple of pics.

If you'd like to make this album yourself, head on over and buy the kit here.

The weekend was pretty full on again, with a scrap day on Saturday with my girls and then a christening for my buddy Kel's little boy James yesterday. Daniel had the day off work and we had a lovely day, although very hectic with the kids and an effort just to make it at all! LOL

Here's my pages from the weekend, the first one was a blind scrap at Scrap Therapy, it was actually on Friday night but I did it on Saturday with Hayley & Kel. We all ended up with gorgeous LO's, thanks Tamara!

I did another LO on Saturday that I can't show yet, but this is one that I did just cause I wanted to...and not a challenge, for a change! LOL

I've just finished an awesome class by Diva Mel at Scrapbook Divas, got two LO's done in two hours and have instructions for ANOTHER LO and a card as well! Great value and a ton of fun as always chatting with the girls. I'll put these picks up tomorrow when I've finished the journalling (need help from Cooper for this) and can get a decent pic. Thanks Mel, I love both the LO's I got finished tonight.

And here's just a few random shots taken over the last couple of days with that lovely new toy of mine...

Little Miss Bronte yesterday talking to me and rolling her tongue around like crazy!

Cooper & Bronte this morning, he can be such a good big brother and lays down on the floor to talk and play with her. She adores him and looks up to him already.

My gorgeous niece Chloe.

Chloe's Dad and my BIL Scotty...which kid likes the park better? LOL!

And this interesting looking bird today at the Botanic Gardens, perched on its nest in the middle of the duck pond. It was a very bizarre sight.

I really need to go to bed, have a scrap day tomorrow with Linda and some girlfriends from the fire station coming for a visit...so I best be up early and getting my house organised! Its in no shape for visitors right at this moment... ;)

Blogger is playing silly buggers and this post is a bit out of whack...but its too late for me to fiddle now, so it'll have to do!

Cheers,
Sar
