3 years and 1 day...

I can't believe it, my little boy is three years old...where did that time go? It seems like just yesterday he was a tiny (well, not THAT tiny) baby and now he can hold a full conversation with us. Its amazing, he has turned into such a character of a kid...we laugh with him every single day and are still amazed by him.

We had an unreal day yesterday for him...we woke up at about 7am, and he was so excited to open his presents. His favourite present was his Tonka fire truck from his little sister (isn't she clever, 8 months old and already shopping all by herself!). Here is a photo of all of us yesterday morning.

Then off to swimming lessons...Cooper's first big boy swimming lesson without Daddy in the pool! He was so proud of himself and he did a great job.

Then it was off to the Botanical Gardens so Cooper could feed the ducks. This is something Daniel's Pop used to do with him when he was a little boy, so something really special to us. Cooper had a ball!

So then we went shopping...I know, busy busy all day! Cooper got some new black hi top Cons (so trendy!) and some new Thomas books, and then we headed home for naps...well, naps for the kids...and for me to run around like a crazy lunatic trying to get everything organised for our family dinner!!!! It was great though and we had a house full. Cooper was a very spoilt boy...by the time the last visitors arrived he was greeting them at the door with his arms open for the present saying 'thank you' before they'd even given it to him! Too funny.

Daniel did a great job of making his cake, he's always made the birthday cakes and absolutely loves it. Here is our boy blowing out his candles.

So all in all, Cooper had a fantastic birthday...not that its over yet, he had a cake at preschool today and his party with all his friends is on Saturday at one of he play places...its the birthday that goes on forever! Funny, mine have always been like that too...anyone who knows me could tell you how obsessed I am with birthdays!

Thanks to Tara and Lauren for your messages on my last post!

A quieter day today, thank goodness, and hopefully tomorrow will be the same. No scrapping (pout) but we'll see what happens tomorrow.

Cheers,
Sar

What a gorgeous day!

A beautiful Tuesday here in Wollongong today...it got up to 27 degrees, and its still winter! My mum was here to spend the day with the kids and I, so I decided at about lunchtime that it was too nice to be cooped up inside...so Mum & I took the kids to the beach for lunch and a play at the park. Met my gorgeous sis-in-law Kaz and neice, Chloe. We had a great couple of hours until the kids decided they'd had enough and it was time for sleeping (or whinging, more like it!)

Here's a couple of photos of my day:

Cooper & Chloe having fun in the sand...

Me and my Georgie girl...

What a gorgeous day, hope the weather stays like this now...it makes me feel so much better...except that I don't fit into my summer clothes so best get my bum moving and start eating properly again! After this week, just way too much happening over the next couple of days to start a health kick!

We all had a top night last night at the footy...Cooper had a ball, as you can see. Here he is with the St George Dragon:

And here with my nephew, Adam...isn't he a spunk!! (Adam I mean, but Cooper is too!)

And here with my hubby, aren't they both gorgeous...and no, they're not posing...they were actually watching the fireworks!

A lovely week so far and its all about to get even better....my little boy turns 3 in about two hours, I can't believe it! He is growing up so fast, and making us laugh more and more every day. The personality on this little boy just amazes me...and drives me crazy at times, but thats another story.

Enough rambling from me for one day, I think I need an early night.

Cheers,
Sar

This is my effort for today, not real happy with it at all to tell you the truth. The ink smudged and it just doesn't do it for me. Anyway, its done now...another one down for Cooper's christening album...

Off to the Dragons v Eels game at WIN Stadium tonight, taking Cooper to his first footy game and my nephew Adam is coming too. It should be a fun night.

Bye for now!

Sar

Thanks to Ali for tagging me as a 'Rockin Girl Blogger'! Thats pretty special...I've only been blogging for a week! ;) So now I have to tag five more...so here goes:

1. Nic (love ya, sis!)
2. Lisa Warren
3. Loz
4. Tara
5. AnnDee

You all rock! :)

A pretty quiet day for me today after a night out with the girls, just had brekkie with my hubby and the kids at the beach this morning before he went to work, then spent the day with my Mum & Dad. Cooper has gone for a sleepover at Aunty Karen's and Georgia is in bed...so I just finished vacuuming my floor (at 7pm on a Sunday night, crazy I know!) and I'm cooking my dinner. Might do some ironing while I watch tele, so no scrapping for me tonight.

A busy week ahead with Cooper's birthday on Wednesday, we're going to the footy tomorrow night, having a family dinner on Wednesday night then Cooper's party on Sunday...so his birthday really is an all week celebration, spoilt boy! I'm really looking forward to it though, he is so excited to be turning 3. Lots of photos will be taken, thats for sure.

Best go, my dinner is nearly ready, bye for now.

Cheers,
Sar

Scrap Day...

...wasn't quite as successful as I would've liked....only one double layout finished today, better than nothing I know but considering we tried to scrap for about five hours I should've been more productive! Unfortunately the babies had better ideas and thought it was their job to distract us the whole time... ;)

Anyway, this page is the next one for my Bali album. Only six years later, but still...better late than never! I am really happy with how this one turned out. Had fun with my new Kindy Glitz at the end.

Late night entry from me, have been out with my hubby at his Mines Rescue Dinner...his team won the local Mines Rescue competition today! He can't wipe the smile off his face and I'm so proud of him. Off to Singleton in October for the State competition now...so more studying and training for him until then. Busy boy, he never stops.

Getting late, waaay past my bedtime...night night...

My day is winding down, I've just been sitting on the lounge watching Love Actually with Daniel...what an unreal movie, I could watch it over and over and over.

Got ourselves organised this morning for Cooper's upcoming 3rd birthday (next week) and organised his cake as well as paper and cards...Daniel wrapped all the presents today while Coop was at school...I think Daniel is more excited about all the toys than Cooper will be!! ;)

Worked for a few hours this arvo and before I knew it the day was gone.

Having a scrap day with my girlfriend Linda tomorrow, so looking forward to it! I told work that I wouldn't be available tomorrow...I've got my priorities right, thats for sure!! Hopefully I'll have some work to show off tomorrow afternoon....but that depends on the babies really. Linda & I had our babies three weeks apart and they always manage to keep us busy on what is meant to be a scrap day!

Finally some scrapping to show!

I can't believe it, I actually found the scrap room today! No work was waiting for me, the house was reasonably tidy, and the kids were in bed...so I snuck downstairs for an hour, and low & behold I actually did some scrapping! Nothing extraordinary, but I'm still happy with how it turned out. This is a double layout for Cooper's 8 x 8 Christening album, which I've been doing forever but get sick of really quickly. These photos of Coop with his godparents Ben & Alicia show just how much they adore our little boy. I find 8 x 8 size really hard, I think because you really can't put too much on it and seeing as I am sticking with the blue colour theme I am also limited. But anyway, another page down, yay!

Not much else happening today, Daniel is working arvo shift so its just me and the kids tonight...fingers crossed I can make my way back downstairs after they're in bed. Its amazing how just an hour of doing something fun changes my mood, I have been so stressed about everything at the moment and just producing this little piece this arvo has really brightened my day...

Sar

My little model...

Thought I'd share some funny shots of my girl today...we left Miss Georgia playing in her room today and came back to find her 'kissing' the baby in the mirror! Classic, Daniel raced down to get me so I could see her...

And here we are tonight, I told Daniel that we need to take some pics of her as I have lots of purple paper that needs some photos to go with it (funny, shouldn't that be the other way around!)..but my little model wasn't really in the mood...

Day 2 of being a Blogger...

Not much to tell today, and absolutely no scrapping to show! Haven't even managed to stick my head into the scrap room today... ;(

I don't know where time goes, I woke up this morning with all intentions of having a productive day, but no...got stuck at my parent's house waiting for the IT guy to show up for about 3 hours...what is it with IT guys? Don't they know that people put their lives on hold waiting for them to come fix things! Scares the crap out of me that my dad actually HAS a computer, but thats another story...

Its been one of those days today where I've just gone round and round in circles (again) and done nothing, really. Right now the kids are well and truly in bed and Daniel is out on a fire call...its too late for me to start something now, but still too early to go to bed...if you know what I mean?!

Watched Idol, how sad...but it was the first time I've just sat on the lounge and relaxed in front of the tv for ages, without stitching or folding clothes or doing something else.

Anyways, enough from me, time for me to blog hop!

Cheers,
Sar

1st official post!

Well, here I am...I have a BLOG! Yay.

Talking to my sister Nic today about the whole blog experience got me thinking that I really should have my own...I cruise around looking at everyone's elses lives but don't have anywhere to document MY stuff. So here goes...

I hope I don't bore you all with my stories of children, scrapbooking and all other things that are my life...if I do, I guess you don't have to keep reading...ha ha... ;)

Its the end of a busy week for me, its only gonna get worse but I'm already so tired. The next few weeks are majorly hectic with Cooper's 3rd birthday coming up as well as lots of social things planned (for a change!). I keep thinking I should go to bed now, but theres always something else to look at on the net, isn't there.

All right, first post down, I'll see if tomorrow's can be a little more eventful as I really am having trouble keeping my eyes open...

Here's a photo of my little cherubs this morning, all dressed up ready to go to Grandad's birthday party!

Later,
Sar
